FAA Credit Union opens

By The Norman Transcript

FAA Credit Union has opened a Norman office at 1212 W. Lindsey St. The location is the former home to Fazoli's restaurant and was Norman's first McDonald's location.

The office marks the credit union's seventh branch in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

"We are pleased to open an office to serve those living, working and attending school in Norman. We have been planning a branch in this area for a few years because of the number of members we have in the area. This office will add a higher level of convenience for members in Norman, Purcell and Blanchard and will allow them to stay closer to home to conduct their financial business," Steve Rasmussen, president and CEO, said.

The building has three drive-thru lanes and a remote teller system.

Ribbon cuttings are scheduled for April 9 and 10 and a grand opening celebration will bee 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 11. The community is invited to take part in the free event, which includes a complimentary lunch and a number of prizes including a Caribbean Cruise.

The company's headquarters are in Oklahoma City. The bank has seven branches in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The credit union has 42,000 members with assets in excess of $370 million and has members in Canadian, Cleveland, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties.
