NEDC Program Exceeding Expectations

In only four months, the Workforce Development office at the Norman Economic Development Coalition has awarded almost 102 Career Ready Certificates to Cleveland County citizens through the WorkKeys Assessment program.

Students Aid OU Professor With Invention

Chemistry professor Robert White's gas chromatography oven can be attached to GC ovens already in use in both academic and private chemistry labs. The equipment separates and analyzes compounds by heating them, but White's oven uses less energy and reduces the amount of time spent between cycles while still providing accurate results.A team of OU undergraduate student interns with the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth spent the fall semester learning about White's product, the market for it and its possible paths to commercialization.
