KeyBridge Technologies, Inc., with the help of the emerging
Technology entrepreneurial center (eTec) business incubator,
enjoyed tremendous growth throughout the past three years and
expanded out of the Norman Economic Development Coalitions
(NEDC) incubator last December to a base of over 200 personnel in
12 locations and 6 states.
KeyBridge Technologies, Inc. services include information
technology, technical training, training development, and train
logistics support for national training centers for various
customers.
eTec provided KeyBridge with opportunities to work with
other high-tech companies within the incubator. In 2006, KeyBridge
teamed up with Nanolight, another sensor technology company in eTec
and were awarded an OCAST grant for a new sensor technology
project. As a result, KeyBridge was able to expand into new
high-tech business areas.
eTec and NEDC provided KeyBridge with the resources to advance
their business. Simon Hsu, President of KeyBridge Technology, Inc.,
believes eTec was very helpful in our early state of
growth.
Hsu adds that the flexibility of the office space really helped
KeyBridge in their infancy stage. Some of the benefits of eTec
include affordable space, flexible leases, tax exemption
opportunities, and paid utilities. In addition to the
partnership opportunities, the proximity to the University of
Oklahoma benefited KeyBridge. The eTec location
allowed us to attract highly qualified OU students to work as
interns in our company, explains Simon Hsu.
From a 20-person company with three locations in 2005, KeyBridge
now has over 200 personnel and 12 locations. KeyBridge now
serves a wide range of customers, from commercial high tech
companies to federal government agencies including FEMA, ATF, TSA,
US Army, US Air Force and the FAA.
