Nanotech firm adds one board member

Series A stockholders at Norman based SouthWest NanoTechnologies Inc. have elected James P. Ashman of Fairland, Conn., as their representative on the company’s board.

The company’s Series A stockholders participated in SWeNT’s initial private placement financing, which reached its $5 million goal in October 2007.

A graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and MBA, Ashman has more than two decades experience as a venture capitalist and finance executive.

He has worked with Amici LLC, which has sold to Xerox Corp., and CAI Wireless Systems Inc..
