The Norman Transcript

Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Stores opened its new store, 800 E. Lindsey St., Saturday, unveiling the company’s new prototype.

The new store replaces the older Braum’s store.

“We have been waiting a long time to build this type of store and have worked many years to get the design just right,” said Drew Braum, president. “Our new Norman store is the first of about 59 stores that we plan on building with this state-of-the-art design. Our plans are to replace our older, non-drive-thru stores throughout our five state area,” he said.

The new store seats 86 guests and has brightly colored booths and tables with track and pendant lights.

The new store has the traditional fountain area for ice cream, and grill area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Fresh Market grocery area is larger with wider aisles, double checkout counters and automatic doors to make shopping easier and more convenient, the company said.
