J.R's Family Bar-B-Q opens Norman location

"We are very excited to officially open the doors of J.R's Family Bar-B-Q to Norman after so many months of preparation," said co-owner and restaurateur, Hal Smith of the Hal Smith Restaurant Group. "I'm confident that customers will find our menu items outstanding and our prices reasonable."
Menu items will include traditional barbecue staples as well as a variety of in store made barbecue pizzas, brisket, chicken and pulled pork nachos. Most items on the menu are under $10.
Items are prepared from old family recipes handed down from J.R.'s mother and grandmother that have been perfected over the years.
"It's our family cooking for your family. We want people to feel at home, with a laid back atmosphere and casual attire. You will be waited on by our friendly wait staff that will take care of you so that you can enjoy the full dining experience," Ross said.
Ross, a native of Oklahoman, is the play by play voice of WWE Monday Night Raw.
J.R's Family Bar-B-Q, 353 Interstate Drive, in front of the Wal-Mart shopping center, will seat approximately 130 people. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
