The Norman Transcript
Agi Lurtz, president of OnlineMedsource, accepted a 2007
Innovator of the Year Award during a dinner presentation in Tulsa
earlier this month. The Journal Record honors those who set
themselves apart with products and services that change the
marketplace and make Oklahoma a better place.
Lee Symocox, president of First Fidelity Bank made the
presentation to Lurtz.
To be eligible for the award, a company must be nominated
and submit information describing their innovation and the advances
to be realized from its use. A panel of entrepreneurs and
established business owners make the selections.
OnlineMedsource provides Web-based medical history and
record services that are more efficient and facilitate more
complete communication between the patient and physician.
According to Lurtz, members include a number of physicians
and practices in very diverse disciplines including family
practice, orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, obstetrics and
gynecology, pediatricians and other medical practices.
The interconnectivity of our system makes future
application opportunities almost limitless, Lurtz
said. Anyone with responsibility for
knowing the health status for individuals in their care can use our
service. Day care centers, drug and alcohol treatment facilities
and schools immediately come to mind.
OnlineMedsource is headquartered in the Emerging Technology Entrepreneurial Center, and incubator operated by The Norman Economic Development Coalition. The Innovator of the year Award is on display there.
