Norman, OKThe Norman Arts Council will hold a
grant-writing workshop on October 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the
regularly scheduled Roundtable meeting at the Norman Chamber of
Commerce, located at 115 E. Gray. The workshop is entitled
How to Submit a Grant to the NAC. Since its inception,
the NAC has granted almost $2 million to a wide range of arts and
humanities projects in Norman.
This is the 27th year for the NAC to accept proposals for projects
that are specifically designed to appeal to Norman residents and
visitors. The organizations making successful proposals will be
awarded grants of up to $15,000 from the Norman Arts Council. The
NAC awards panel will select for funding those projects that
fulfill the selection guidelines.
Applicants must be incorporated as non-profit tax exempt 501c3
organizations, or have incorporated and applied for 501c3 status
prior to the date their grant application is submitted. All
applicant organizations must be located in Norman, Oklahoma and all
projects must occur in ADA compliant spaces. The awarded funding
will go to projects occurring July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008.
Selection guidelines and application forms will be available at the
workshop. Interested organizations should call (405) 360-1162 for

available from the Norman Arts Council office, located at 220 E.
Main. The deadline for grant applications is January 19,
2007.
