NEDC Hosts 2008 Sooner Centurion Economic Summit
Another Sooner Centurion Economic Summit was held in January by
Norman Economic Development Coalition. Several speakers presented
topics on Normans growth, quality of Education, and the new
technology that is coming in the near future.

A Norman business helps home, business owners conserve energy
Centaurus Technology and Innovations specialize in helping
homeowners and home builders plug the leaks that result in soaring
utility bills. Centautus is currently working on its LEED, or
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, certification from
the U.S. Green Building Council. Centaurus Technology is a

Online Adverstising Growth Means Increased Opportunities For Local Business
WebEprint, has been working with CareerBuilder.com since the
fall of 2007 to deliver sales and production creative.
CareerBuilder has seen positive results with the material provided.
webEprint is a creative agency and web application developer
located in eTec, a business incubator managed by the Norman
Economic Development Coalition.

Interns make strides in real world entrepreneurship
The Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth showcased three
business proposals at their semester ending evening program.
Thirteen students present business plan for water proofing cotton,
a drug to prevent blindness and one to be a treatment for kidney
disease. CCEW is a technology based business in NEDCs eTec
incubator.

State gives companies $1.5M for nanotechnology growth
Ekips, helps establish Oklahoma as a leader in nanotechnology.
Ekips won a three-year nanotechnology applications award. Nanolight
Inc., was another award winner that won from the nanotechnology
project. Both technology companies are located in NEDC's eTec
business incubator.

OnlineMedsource to present at American Psychiatric meeting
Norman based OnlineMedsource Inc. has been selected to
present to the American Psychiatric Association at their annual
meeting in Washington, D.C. Out of the thousands of submissions the
APA received, OnlineMedsource was one of the few selected.

Bergey begins Norman chamber presidency
Mike Bergey, President of Bergey Wind Power, took the reins of
being the new Norman Chamber of Commerce President. Bergey has been
in the alternative energy business for 30 years.
